These films are designed to meet the highest requirements for efficiency, durability, and compatibility with packaging machines, making them an ideal choice for manufacturing companies in the food, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors.

Production Capabilities

Material: Our films for packaging machines are made from LDPE, HDPE, MDPE, and LDPE regranulate, ensuring optimal strength and adaptability to the specific requirements of various products. The use of regranulate supports environmentally friendly practices by reducing environmental impact.

Film Width: Films can be produced in widths up to 3000 mm, allowing for compatibility with a variety of packaging machines and the size of the packaged products.

Film Length: We offer films in lengths up to 3500 mm, ensuring flexibility in adapting the films to various sizes of packaging machines.

Film Thickness: Our films are available in thicknesses from 20 μm to 300 μm, allowing you to choose the right option depending on your specific packaging needs – from thin films for lightweight products to thicker, more durable solutions for heavier products.

Additives

To meet customer expectations, we offer a wide selection of additives that improve the performance of film for packaging machines:

  • UV – an additive that protects the film from the harmful effects of UV radiation, increasing its durability during long-term storage in conditions exposed to sunlight.

  • Dyes – the option of coloring the film for easy product identification, which is important for maintaining visual consistency on the production line and accelerating warehouse processes.

  • Anti-block and slip – prevents film from sticking together, allowing for smooth unwinding and ensuring trouble-free operation of packaging machines.

  • ESD – an antistatic film that protects products from electrostatic discharge, which is particularly important when packaging electronics and other sensitive products.

  • Low-Temperature Elasticizer – an additive that ensures film flexibility even at low temperatures (down to -29°C), which is crucial when packaging products requiring refrigerated storage.

  • Flexo Printing – allows for printing product information such as logos, instructions, or markings. This supports brand identification and marketing.

  • Perforation – perforation improves the ventilation of packaged products, which is particularly important when packaging fresh products or those requiring air circulation.

Applications

Folmi's packaging machine films are widely used in various industries, from food to pharmaceuticals to industrial. Thanks to their strength, flexibility, and extensive customization options, our films are the ideal solution for companies seeking reliable and efficient packaging for their products. Order Fulfillment Process

Order acceptance

Order confirmation: Once all the details of the order have been agreed, the customer receives a final quotation for approval. Following its approval, the order is formally accepted for processing.

Print design verification: In the case of an order including a print, the customer receives the final graphic design for approval, which, once approved, is sent for production.

Release for production: Once the order has been confirmed and payment verified, the order details go to the production department, which begins the process of planning and execution.

Plastic extrusion

Production of LDPE plastic: LDPE plastic is produced using an extrusion process. LDPE granulate is heated to a high temperature and passed through an extrusion head to produce a long, thin layer of plastic.

Plastic forming: Plastic may be formed in a number of manners as per the order – it may vary in transparency, coloured, thicknesses to match the customer’s specifications.

Flexographic print

Preparation for printing: If the order is for printed bags, the production of plastic is followed by the process of flexographic printing. Matrices (printing forms) are prepared as per the customer-approved design.

Printing on plastic: the LDPE plastic is passed through flexographic machines, which apply the print as per the design. This technique allows designs to be printed quickly and precisely in a range of colours.

Confectioning and packaging

Cutting and forming of bags: After printing (or without printing), the LDPE plastic is confectioned, i.e. cut and formed into bags as per the dimensions agreed in the order.

Additional elements: At this stage elements such as handles, perforations may be added, depending on the order specifications.

Product packaging: The finished bags are carefully packed in larger packaging such as cardboard boxes or bulk bags to secure them from damage during transport.

Etykietowanie: Każda partia zamówienia otrzymuje odpowiednie oznaczenia i etykiety, które zawierają informacje o produkcie. Dodatkowo dołączane są dokumenty przewozowe i magazynowe.

Shipment to the customer

Transport set-up: The order is forwarded to a courier company. The customer receives a tracking number and information on the expected delivery time.

Shipment tracking: The customer may track the consignment using a tracking system, which allows them to monitor where their order is at any given time.

Delivery of the order: Goods are delivered to the address indicated by the customer within the specified timeframe.
